Biopharmaceuticals are sometimes known as biomedicine, Western medicine, mainstream medicine, or conventional medicine. It is a medical science discipline that uses biological and physiological concepts to clinical practise. Bio-drugs are based on standardised, evidence-based treatments confirmed through biological research, and are provided by formally trained doctors, nurses, and other licenced practitioners.
A biological molecule is another name for a biomolecule. It is a term used to describe substances found in organisms that are required for one or more biological processes, such as cell division, morphogenesis, or development. Large macromolecules such as carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids are also included, as are tiny molecules such as natural products, primary metabolites, and secondary metabolites.
